May I submit a paper application?
We do encourage you to
apply online. Computer access is available in the Department of Human Resources, if needed. Once you are registered, your information and resume will be saved and you may apply for multiple positions you have an interest in with ease.
I have seen a posting for a position I am interested in applying for, however I do not see it listed on the Human Resources website?
The Department of Human Resources lists openings for the 14 Board of Commissioners agencies only. If you are interested in a position within a different agency please apply at www.franklincountyohio.gov and click on employment opportunities on the left panel. From there you will be able to view every county agency and the positions they may have available.
What is the status of my application?
The hiring managers of the agency for which you are applying will contact individuals who meet minimum qualifications to be interviewed. If you are not contacted for an interview please do not be discouraged. We do encourage you to apply for other positions.
May I speak to the hiring manager about the application I have submitted?
We ask applicants to contact the Department of Human Resources, only.
What is the status of my interview?
Once you have had an interview, you will be contacted either way if you have been selected for the position.
May I use one application for more than one position?
Yes. Information from your most recent successfully submitted application should automatically fill in to any subsequent applications.
What is the time frame for selecting someone for a position?
Screening applications, organizing interviews, administering required tests, and finding the best match for the job requires a significant amount of time and effort. We understand your desire to know the status as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience.

Our current business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
